Virginia Creeper Engelmannii in the GardenTags plant encyclopedia

Parthenocissus quinquefolia engelmannii syn. Ampelopsis hederacea ; Ampelopsis quinquefolia

Virginia Creeper 'Engelmannii'

Virginia creeper is a vigorous climbing plant with dull green 5-"fingered" foliage which turns shades of crimson-red in the autumn. NOTE its berries are poisonous and the sap contains raphides which can produce a persistent, blistering, itchy rash—like a cross between poison ivy and fibreglass. ALSO: this plant can cause damage to buildings that it climbs up
