Pavonia multiflora is an evergreen shrub sporting dark green and glossy foliage. The red or dark pink bracts surround cone-shaped purple upright flowers with protruding dark blue stamens. Flowering period usually extends from late Spring to early autumn, but in the right conditions this plant can bloom all winter long.

Planting young plants

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

If growing in cooler temperate climates, this is best grown in a conservatory or under glass grow in loam-based potting compost in bright filtered light with high humidity. Water freely when in growth and keep just moist in winter. If planting outfoors in warm climates above 15C, plant in moist but well drained soil, acid to alkaline in full sun or partial shade.
