Orange Rose Cactus

Known by a variety of names, Orange Rose Cactus, Leaf Cactus, Wax Rose, Seven Star Needle. Pereskia bleo, Rhodocactus bleo, it sports bright orange double rose-like flowers with white stamens which are born in summer. Provide the Rose Cactus with a well-draining cactus like soil mix for the best results. Allow the soil to become moderately dry between waterings particularly when not in active growth in winter.

The plant requires full sun or light shade (but withstand dense shade) and well drained soils, preferably rich neutral organic soils, but may tolerate acidic ones. Drought resistant. If planting as an indoor plant, it needs plenty of space. It is planted by simply pushing cuttings into the ground.
