Flowering Season

From Late Spring TO Late Autumn

Flowers from early spring if protected or mid to late spring out doors when risk of frost has passed.

Planting outdoors

From Mid Spring TO Late Spring

Plant container plants in a sunny sheltered position after risk of frost has passed. Best grown in containers.

Propagation by Seed

From Mid Spring TO Mid Spring

Fill a seed tray with seed compost, water and allow to drain.Sprinkle seeds over the surface allowing roughly 25mm space between seeds and cover with a thin layer of compost. Put tray in a clear polythene bag and place on a windowsill. When seedlings show remove plastic bag. When the second pair of leaves appear on the seedlings thin out to 50mm spacing by removing the weakest looking plants. After 2 or 3 weeks and when danger of frost has passed plants can then be planted outside into required position.

Flowering in Summer

From Early Summer TO Late Summer

The petunia will bloom in the summer, producing plenty of flowers over this period.

Propagation by seed

From Late Winter TO Early Spring

Sow seed under glass in potting compost in early spring.

Planting Petunias

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

If you are growing Petunias from seed it is best to start them inside before planting them outside in the spring. Make sure you leave enough room between plants.
