Pilosocereus pachycladus grows in columnar form growing tree-like with numerous glaucous branches. This is one of the bluest columnar cacti. Its stem is light blue-green. It likes a sunny position with 4 to 6 hours of direct morning or afternoon sun. It should be watered regularly in Summer and kept drier in Winter.
