Purple Leaf Plum

'Nigra' boasts deep purple foliage on very dark stems. The leaves emerge bronze before colouring to purple/black and then red and finally to orange in the autumn. In early spring, it sports a mass of single pink flowers which contrast beautifully with the dark foliage. Ideal for smaller places.

Propagation

From Late Spring TO Mid Summer

Slice a section of the twig which has a leaf attached, place the cutting into a pot of sand and compost, leaving the leaf exposed, keep moist.
