Pulsatilla alpina is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial with deeply divided, hairy leaves. It has upright white flowers very early in spring, which are then followed by silky seeds. The plant is poisonous. It is suitable for alpine rock gardens with a lot of drainage, and originally are native from the Pyrenees to the Alps within Europe, to North East Albania.
