Sedum Spurium 'Red Carpet'

Stonecrop 'Red Carpet'

Sedum, or Stonecrop, is a large genus of flowering plant which has fleshy, succulent leaves, fleshy stems, and has clusters of small, starry flowers. 'Red Carpet' is a groundcover sedum, and is grown mainly for its red-tinged foliage, rather than for the occasional flowers. The green, red-tinged foliage turns deep red in Autumn. Sometimes clusters of dark red flowers appear in late Summer.
