Variegated Rock Campion in the GardenTags plant encyclopedia

Silene 'Druett's Variegated'

Variegated Rock Campion

Silene can be annuals, biennials or herbaceous or evergreen perennials. The leaves are untoothed, and the flowers can be solitary or clustered, and have 5 petals, often notched. 'Druett's Variegated' is a cushion-forming evergreen perennial with small green and cream leaves, and in late Spring and Summer ballooned white flowers appear. It grows best in well-drained, gritty soil. Remove green shoots as they appear, or they will gradually take over, and the plant will lose it's variegation.
