Sinningia bullata

Emerald Forest

Sinningia bullata is a tuberous perennial with fuzzy green foliage which remains all year round, and tubular red flowers. It is native to Brazil. With age, the tuber will increase in size to around 20cm. It prefers shade or indirect light, but will get leggy if given too much shade. It can tolerate short periods of drought, but the soil should be kept on the slightly moist side. Best grown in a pot.
