Sinocrassula Indica
Sinnocrassula 'Indica'
Sinocrassula indica grows mostly in vertical rocks. The colour difference is due to sunlight. Plants growing in grass are green while those in full sun are reddish. The plant usually dies after flowering while some sprout from the base into multi headed plant. It can be easily propagated from seed and leaf cuttings. For growing in the garden it requires very porous soil, cool and shady place in Summers, but it requires sun also. The best position to grow in your garden is to place it in northwest side where it gets 2-3 hours of morning sunshine. It can tolerate high temperature but cannot stand humid weather. In my garden Sinocrassula indica has become almost naturalised, Every year new seedlings are found growing in pots and trays lying near the mature plants New:Sedum, or Stonecrop, is a large genus of flowering plant which has fleshy, succulent leaves, fleshy stems, and has clusters of small, starry flowers.
