Tabebuia chrysantha is a deciduous tree which produces full yellow blossoms from late winter to early spring, before the production of leaves. It tolerates poor soils but prefers a well drained site. It develops an upright, irregular but rounded canopy and has grey-brown bark. They can reach 12 - 15m in height when planted in open spaces but they are slow growing and will take many years to reach this height.
