Tiarella is a genus of 7 species of low-growing perennials suitable for rock gardens or ground cover beneath trees and shrubs. They are closely allied to the genus Heuchera, bearing feathery spikes star-shaped flowers. 'Tiger Stripe' has heart shaped leaves with purple markings, and flowers which have pink buds and open to white.
