Tilia are deciduous trees with heart-shaped or oval leaves and clusters of fragrant yellow-green flowers that are followed by winged fruits. 'Winter Orange' is a medium-sized deciduous tree that has red buds and orange shoots in Winter. In Summer it bears clusters of fragrant white flowers, and in Autumn the leaves turn yellow.
