Toona ciliata is a vigorous tree of East Asia with a rounded crown. It grows up to 35m. with a trunk 3m in diameter. It has many uses - the bark, resinous gum and flowers are used medicinally, and the wood is used for growing shiitake mushrooms, as well as for furniture-making, carving, boat-making, veneer.
