Giant Silver Mullein
Verbascum - or mullein - are perennial or biennial, tall flowering plants that have a basal rosette of foliage from which, in Summer, arises a flower spike of saucer-shaped flowers that are attractive to bees. Giant Silver Mullein forms a large rosette of silvery-grey felted leaves in their first year, then send up tall stately spires of soft-yellow flowers through the second summer. Usually acts as a self-seeding biennial.
