Bedding verbena is an annual with a long flowering period from early summer to autumn, and there are varieties in many colours. The 'Empress' series of verbena are semi-trailing, large-flowered, and have good resistance to mildew. 'Imperial Blue' Verbena features showy clusters of royal blue star-shaped flowers at the ends of the stems from late spring to mid fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting.
