Veronica spicata 'Pink Marshmallow'

Spiked Speedwell 'Pink Marshmallow'

Veronica are a group of plants found in the Plantain family, Plantaginaceae. They are typically herbaceous annual or perennial plants, although they now recently include shrubs and sub-shrubs since the reclassification of the genus Hebe into Veronica. Most plants are native to territories in the northern hemisphere, however Hebe is originally native to New Zealand. Veronica plants tend to have paired green leaves, and small flowers usually on spikes or racemes. Specifically, Veronica spicata is a herbaceous perennial which is native from Europe across to Central Siberia and Northern China. It has deciduous lance shaped green leaves, and produces tall spikes of flowers ranging in colour from blues, pinks, purples and whites. 'Pink Marshmallow' is a compact plant and has bright pink flower spikes.
