There are very many different Viburnum, and most are relatively easy to grow. They can be deciduous or evergreen, most flower in Spring, and the clusters of usually fragrant flowers followed by berries, and often good Autumn leaf colours. colour of some forms. Delicate pink-white scented flowers which can start emerging as early as late Autumn if the conditions are mild enough although flowering will reach its maximum in the spring. The plant is deciduous and the dark green leaves turn brownish purple before shedding. The plant produces purple berries. 'Deben' has flowers which have pink buds, but opening white. Fragrant.
