Lesser Periwinkle 'Flower Power'

Lesser periwinkle is a ground covering plant that does very well in acid soil and partial shade where it will grow spread quickly. Can be grown in any soil and full sun to full shade. Single blue/violet flowers grow above a shiny dark green foliage in Spring and through to Autumn. Not the easiest plant to get rid of so take care when planting. 'Flower Power' has an extraordinary flush of bloom in late winter, early spring and autumn. Moreover it grows in the most difficult places.

Propagation by cuttings

From Mid Summer TO Early Autumn

Semi hard wood cuttings are taken from the current years growth from late summer to mid autumn the bottom of the cuttings is hard and soft on the top. With a sharp knife take a cutting of about 14cms, remove lowest leaves, dip end into rooting hormone, and place round the edge of a pot filled with a suitable compost, water well, they must remain moist till rooted, place under glass but in semi shade.
