Gorgeous, but up here we call it a magnolia. I know other places call it tulip. But here a tulip tree is different and also called a yellow poplar. I never heard the tulip/ magnolia called a yellow poplar. 🤔 Google tulip tree and you find the magnolia and our tulip tree also referred to as tulip poplar to tell the difference. 🤗
Chris I just did some research and it is no wonder these names get mixed up. First the Family Magnoliaceae (Magnolia) contains the genus Liriodendron that contains 2 species first Liriodendron tulipifera which is what I call a tulip tree and is an eastern North American species and second Liriodendron chinese which is native to China and Vietnam. Then in the same family are the magnolia trees but this is were it gets really confusing. Your tulip would be in the genus Magnolia which is conti.
