Mammillaria karwinskiana 'Nejapensis'

This was one of my first cacti, before I started tracking the exact species, but I’ll ID it eventually. In the mean time winterization and changing sun exposure has transformed it from dark green to a beautiful red a yellow fall pallet of colors. #cactus can change color for #fall too.

With those particular spines and the cottony substance, it reminds me of Mammillaria nejapensis. Just an idea. 😅
