New cactus.... Ready to bloom too. It has so much white cottony fuzz on it I fear I would never see a mealy but I love it and how it looks like snow fell on it #silverarrowcactus #owleyecactus #mammillaria

Had these beginning buds since i got it and still waiting. I dont think it'll ever bloom. Hope it does #cactusflowerbuds #owleyecactus #cacti #cactus
I think that is a seed pod left over from its bloom.
Oh really? Should I take it off and open it up? The seeds inside right? @lovestogarden
Why not?! I find that if you open them up and smear on a paper towel or the like, let them dry and then plant. I plant them in a used food takeout container. This way, they have a lid. Once the seeds are planted, water to just evenly moisten the soil and put on the lid. Keep it closed and in a slightly sunny location and it is a perfect hot house for #propagation. You may need to wait until Spring depending on your location. Cactus are verrrrry slow growers. 💕
In the pictures I saw there was a dried up flower at the tip of the red but I dont see much on mine so I was wondering if maybe they didnt bloom yet? @lovestogarden
I think that dark spot on end is where flower dropped. Leave it. If it dries, it is fruit, and you can still get the seeds.
