Has only been 5/6 days since I cut all the branches but all but one have already popped out the new growth like this and the old bit above the nodes just popped right off

I know I know it looks awful ha. You have to start the bonsai process with a fairly ugly mess but I hope in a few years it will be well worth it. I got advice from YouTube bonsai expert Nigel Saunders so I look forward to the results

Good luck! Mine is worse with all leaves except the tip on one branch out of three branches gone after moving it to a bigger pot. Still hoping it will come back 😭

My very stressed out jade plant in his bonsai pot. Too much sun for this guy. I'll be pruning it hard once it has turned green again to start the bonsai shape
