So happy to see the first bloom. This is the one I put outside in the winter cold to kill the white fly infestation. It was a survivor.

So excited! First sign of a developing flower on this hibiscus. This is the one I put outside in the winter for an hour to kill all the flies. Killed the plant too for the most part. But it came back up from the roots. Plant has recovers well. And hopefully flowers soon.

So during the winter months my hibiscus tree got infested with some kind of bug. It covered the leaves and the flowers. I used insecticide and they just came back. Out of desperation I set the tree out side for a couple hours in the very cold temps. I knew I was taking a change of killing it. Even thought I did kill it. But it didn’t kill the roots. It is coming back up and so far no signs of the pest that had taken over it before.

@lesliecole49. Sorry I don't. The tag just said hibiscus and I know it is a tropical. I have to bring it inside for the winter. Wish I know the variety as well. Do you have pics of yours?

Couldn't resist this hibiscus today. Had to find a spot inside for it. Not a hardy one for my area. But I love the flowers.
