They are in full sun pretty much all day, and the soil is mostly depleted sand. I had put them in that bed to just to have them in the ground till I finished their eventual home, but they have flourished.
But the lilies you have are different from these...this is an oriental lily whereas yours are species lilies. Despite that, they are very similar in their needs. Not sure why yours isn't blooming. The species lilies do bloom later than any other, in late August and even into September.
Maybe try digging it up this fall and seeing whether it maybe needs to be buried at a different depth? And when replanting, put in a bit of sand or grit around the bulb...they do not like sitting in water.
