The first of these queenly lilies has just opened. So worth the wait! Twelve towering beauties surround the birdbath at the center of my garden, protecting shy visitors.

So close! The Casablanca lilies should burst into bloom any day now. I planted a dozen around my bird bath two years ago. Now I count 6-8 big buds per plant. They resemble pelican heads at this stage.

Love the combination of Casa Blanca #lily with Common Lady #fern . This planting surrounds a small birdbath, creating a private retreat for avian visitors 🐦 🛁

They're doing great!! Just keep a close eye out for the dreaded red lily beetle @mn-5a and they'll get better every year

All the other Casa Blanca lilies at the garden store had finished blooming weeks ago ... except for one plant with two small green buds. I placed eight lilies around a bird bath among ferns ... and voilà!
