Inspired by Barbara @jacaranda , Dave @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co and all the Hostas recently posted in the Hosta Challenge, I decided to try a few new ones. I realised (late to the party!) that you can buy hostas as bareroots so I'm giving them a go 🤞 Cataloguing 22.5.22 #notmyphoto

🤣🤣 We'll see - these are all just bareroots so they've got a long way to go!! I look forward to seeing your new ones then soon 👍🪴😃 @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co

I didn’t realise you could buy them as bare root plants either. You’ve got some lovely ones 💚🤍💛

I have to admit most of the plants I buy as bare root. Most of them have been fine - you have purchased some stunners Ange☺️

That's what I want to hear! 😃 I've bought other plants - roses, hedging, gypsophila etc as bareroot but never hostas. They were in a collection of 6 plus the Orange Marmalade was separate & I had to have it 🪴😃 @Auricula

All of my Astrantia have been bare root, the plants in the newly Restricted Border have been mainly bare root grown on over winter. I am sure this fab bunch will be fine👍🏻
