Hosta 'Wide Brim'

Last year this hosta only had two rather pathetic flowers but this year it has excelled itself. It’s been very well munched though! 😂 #hosta-wide-brim #plantain-lily-wide-brim

Great looking hosta foliage. Went to a local Big Box Store with a garden centre and found myself looking at hostas. I felt so badly as they were all drooping and turning brown. Shame they do not look after them. 😢

@pelly @auricula Slugs don't like Alliums. I've got them here and there in my garden as I haven't used pellets for some time now. Hostas are too nice to munched by those rotten rotters! 💚💚

Crack egg 🥚 shells 🐚 into tiny pieces and shatter these around the base of the hosta. Or buy some copper, which I bought from Poundland last year it’s on a strip of adhesive so if you have some in pots. Stick it around the top of the pot. Not saying this will stop them completing but it’ll make it harder for them. Hope you get on ok @pelly
