This is one of my favorite roses. We have one at my parents' house. When I was 2 , it would get buds but it never bloomed. After the 2nd year of this, my mom got mad. She bought systemic insecticide but forgot to apply it when she was out gardening. She remembered it as she was heading to work so she grabbed the powder & went to dose the rosebush. And there I was, eating the petals of a newly opened bloomed. (So yummy-bitter & sweet!) And that's how my family became 'accidentally organic.' :P
