One of 2 potted #sycamore trees I have grown from seedlings on the paths. I've kept them pruned to about 6ft high & 2ft wide. They are planted in my old leaking copper water tank which I cut in half with an angle grinder so they are a matching pair. Will post full length pic with copper pot when in full leaf. #recycled I call them my subdued sycamores because I'm usually surrounded by enormous sycamores but they have been pruned in the last 2 years so under control at the moment.
I get loads of sycamore seedlings popping up all over my garden they drive me crazy... There's a enormous sycamore tree in the field behind my garden and every year I get all the seeds blown down into my garden
@harebell you could make them into a feature I have lots of miniature trees from seedlings. I cannot bear to pull them up and kill them. I put them in little shallow pots like bonsai ones and just keep pruning the roots. I will post a pic after they have their leaves on as the most of them are just brown sticks at the moment.
@angipangi I could make a miniature fairy woodland 🤔💡🍄👌🏻
@harebell Now that's a great idea. Mini gnomes, fairies, goblins & fairy solar lights. 👏🏻👍🏻
Great idea and do love a Recyle @angipangi I know how you feel @harebell as we have chestnut trees at the back of my garden so every year we have the leave but worst of all the bleep bleep conkers self seeding all over my garden beds. Also the bushes at the back of my house, they also have chestnuts growing so we just have to keep them pruned twice a year. 😖😖😖
