@MelanieAt It's promoted as hardy up to -10 degrees. My brother gave me this one 17 years ago and it survived 2010 & 2011 winter temps down to -15 without cover. It can grow to an enormous specimen but I keep it small to fit in it's space. It may be worth a shot.

I would put a thermal blanket and mulch it heavily like I do for buddleia.
