Had to grab a pic of this monster tulip just over 6 inches in diameter (16cm) Unfortunately it has chosen to grow behind the big birdhouse so cannot get sun to shine on it for photo but I think it gives the idea anyway.

Thanks for identification @OICANALP I didn't know what it was. I think from memory I bought a pack of mixed luxury tulips from Lidl last year & I think this will be one of them. I've already seen 3 very unusual tulips in the borders that I can't remember buying. Must have a look for the packet in the shed. Wish now that I had bought more. My eyes were out on stalks today when I saw it. It's the biggest tulip I've ever seen
