Cycas. Sago Palm. Beautiful specimen growing in a neighbour's garden. It has the perfect position with some protection and looking balanced under a tree. #sagopalm

Cycas. (Sago Palm). Blooms once every three to four years. The male flower grows to 1.6mt/2ft. Botanic Garden, Cairns, tropical Queensland. #cycas #cairns #sagopalm

@novicegardenlover Tropical Qld, with its heat and higher rainfall, has amazing plants and flowers that grow twice as big and in greater masse than here on the subtropical Sunshine Coast, (approx 1600km/1600 miles distance). The area is an Orchid paradise. Have a very happy New Year.
