Perilla frutescens (Chinese Basil). Another $3 supermarket herb purchase. Wonderful colouring of dark purple and green foliage. I will divide this little pot and put some in a couple of herb gardens and some in my purple garden. Have to be aware these herbs are grown for short life kitchen eating. I trim a bunch before hardening off for garden planting. This herb is an annual but I will take cuttings to try and prolong/ continue the supply. #herb #basil
