💞💚💞 This is the one that reappeared in the cobbles after some major building work. It’s about 2 foot away from where I planted it 😉 #astrantia-hapsdenblood
Looks fabulous💖💖
Looks heavy enjoy and great colour...
If it has found its own space it will have chosen a place it likes so it will do well 👌
Thanks Keely. I think this is my favourite one 💞 @Keely
Thanks Elaine 😊 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
It certainly has done so far 👍😊@sadieberg
It’s gorgeous isn’t it Lin. It looks great against the grey of the cobbles too 💞 @linfoster
So beautiful 😍
Thank you Joyce. They’re wonderful intricate flowers aren’t they 😊@jsamminga

2 Jul 2019 • And this is Astrantia-Hadspen-Blood that disappeared when we had some building work done but reappeared the following year growing out of the re-laid cobbles 🤷♀️💜💕
Oh I love that one💜👍🏻
I think it’s my favourite 🤔😍 @cee

14 Jun 2018 • It’s not all doom and gloom in the garden! This little one was in a flower bed last year. Somewhere along the way (I blame the building work we had done last year) it has jumped out and is now growing in the middle of the cobbles 😂 #astrantia
Oi! You must’ve nicked mine...🤨 cause I haven’t got it any more! 😂 aww what a nice surprise though 💜
Beautiful colour this one 💕🌸
Well I never, trying to abscond like that, ungrateful little b****r!!! 😂😂😂
Oops! You found me out 😜 @rachelbrooks
It’s lovely isn’t it @Keely
😂😂😂 It didn’t get very far! @pelly
Love this too! I went to Hadspen, back in the day, beautiful garden x x x
Sounds like I need to find out more 🤔🧐 @clipperty

Doesn't look tough does it? This plant was virtually buried under rubble a few weeks ago...💕
Gorgeous and tough Jacqueline 💖💖💖
It was my favourite #astrantia even before it's recent magnificent resurrection Laura 😉 @columbiariver
With bells on Jane! 🔔🌺🔔🌺🔔 @pelly
Beautiful 😍
Thanks Sue 😊@susanhumphrey333
I've really fallen for these this year 💕 💕💕
Absolutely stunning! And I'm so jealous! Mine did not make an appearance! 😔 beautiful pic Jacqueline 💕 #bestofjune
Very easy to Mo! @mojo
Sorry to hear that Rachel. I hope you think it is worth another go 😟 @rachelbrooks
They are small but perfectly formed 😉 @gjones
Stunning 😊
Last one I promise! #floweringinoctober
Lovely colour 😁
It’s pretty isn’t it. It self-seeds and comes true from seed too, so extra good value! @vegandmore
Color and shape are beautiful and elegant, showy but far from gaudy. I had never heard of this plant before, thanks for sharing! @awomanonabike
#astrantia are wonderful plants Pasch and very hardy 😊 @geistQC
I've looked around a bit and nothing I've seen compares to yours in color and elaborate shape @awomanonabike . It's breathtaking! I will be on the hunt, first have to find out if it can be pot grown and brought inside for winter, as it gets down to a chilly -25°C here in winter.
Oh I do hope they are hardy enough to leave outside🤞 @gjones might know as it gets very cold where they are. Or maybe @columbiariver will be able to help 🤔😊 @geistQC
Just thinking Laura (I know! Radical!) but how dry are your summers? It doesn’t like to dry out, though I guess you’d notice if they were wilting 🤔 @columbiariver
PFAF says hardiness in USA is 4-9. 🤔 https://pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Astrantia+major @geistQC
I’m averse to watering plants in the ground but I might make an exception for astrantias 😬 @columbiariver
Thanks , I'm so excited, it is indeed zone appropriate for me! I will try my hand at it in the garden next season. @awomanonabike @columbiariver
I look forward to seeing how you get on! Good luck 🤞@geistQC
