9 Sep 2019 • Did you know...Canna flowers are produced right next to the spent flower, so don’t chop the flower off when you #deadhead or you’ll lose lots of flowers. Just gently pull out the spent flower #canna-advice 💛 #canna-ra #water-canna
Haha! It is in mine now too 👍 I like your style! I should do that too but I’m too mean 😬 This is pretty hardy too and has been in the same pot for two years. I don’t dig it up or even put it in the greenhouse 😃 @Keely
3 Jul 18 • On a less stressful note, I’m really pleased with this, my first ever “water canna”. It is in a pot but sits in a deep saucer of water. First flower to open but lots more to come 💛
This is my new canna. It likes water. I live in Cumbria. So all good so far. But...my RHS book says pot up in loamless compost, the RHS website says use John Innes no 3. 🤷♀️ Which is correct?! 🤔🤷♀️ Can anyone help? #canna #canna-advice
That’s exactly what I had done Jason. Then I looked it up and went back and bought some JI no3. Potted it up. Then read the bit about loamless 🤷♀️😂 @Jasonsparkes1
The first flower. Seems later than usual 🤔 #canna-ra
Looking back...in 2018 my first flower was at the beginning of July 🤔🤔🤔
Lovely flower, love the colour 👍🏻😊
Thanks 😊 Mine is in a pot and it’s very easy to grow if you’re interested Diane @prunella
Yes will have to look into it and maybe get seeds 👍🏻😊
Just realised it’s a bulb 😊
👍 @prunella
