9 Sep 2019 • I just can’t decide if I like this dahlia. The colour is lovely and the flowers are large...but...they are so large they weigh themselves down and flop over. Might just cut them and put them in a vase 🤔

It’s fabulous 💕💕

Thanks Sue. I just wish its stems were a bit stronger 🤷♀️ @suerichards

I feel the same about my Penhill Watermelon. It’s gorgeous but the blooms are far too heavy. One broke off at the weekend and it’s now in a vase so I might follow your lead, Jacqueline, and cut them all!!! 😂😘

It is beautiful but you do have to wonder about the point of breeding something that can’t support itself!

I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem Barbara, though if it encourages me to pop them in a vase that is good, as I love cut flowers but always forget to think about cutting any 💐 @jacaranda

You really do Val - and I hate having to put in supports for my plants at the best of times 😉😂 @valjones-hughes

Gorgeous bloom but it’s very annoying when they do that. A couple of my roses do that too!

Definitely better cut and in a vase 👌@rachelbrooks

I love it....

...but it flops over Elaine, it’s so blossom heavy! 🤷♀️ @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

I’ve got one Jacqueline and my problem is too many buds on a single stalk but I still love it..I cut them off and float them in my pond...👍🏼😉
13 Sep 2019 • I may be warming to this dahlia, as it does make an amazing and very long lasting cut flower 💜
Oh my 😍 Gorgeous
It goes whiter as it ages. Maybe I do like it after all 🙄 @jaynehynesburton
Oh now come on how couldn't you 😁😍
On the plant the flowers are so huge that they flop and almost break their own stems. Like a chicken that has been bred to have breasts so big it can’t stand up 🙈🙄😂 @jaynehynesburton
Ohh I love it 💜💜
I had some the other year that were too big and just broke all the time
I think the breeders get a bit carried away sometimes 😉😂 @jaynehynesburton
Definitely
Well it’s beautiful and how lovely to have it indoors where you can admire it day and night 💜
I like it more now it is inside 😃@rachelbrooks
They do perk up when they’re in a vase don’t they? 😊
