They justblook so graceful
Just beautiful 🤍💚🤍
They are one of my favourite flowers, both the white and the purple @joannie.a
Thanks Jane. Not exactly a meadow of them but it’s a start! @pelly

At the risk of becoming a bore, there are now four #white #fritillary in the #wildgarden 💚🤍💚 #fritillaria-meleagris-alba
Looking at that could never be boring 🤍💚🤍
They are just lovely aren’t they. Difficult to do them justice with a camera though, as it’s hard to get the chequer board appearance to show up 💚🤍💚 @pelly

And now there are two! Not the best photo of the second (it’s the blurry white bit in the background) so you’ll just have to take my word for it 💚 #fritillaria-meleagris-alba #white #fritillary
Two’s company 🤍👌🏼
I think I may have a couple of white ones coming 🤞🤞
I must get some white ones, they’re really lovely 🤍🤍🤍
🤞🤞🤞 @joanboston
They’re pretty aren’t they Jane. I planted these as bulbs so am really chuffed that they have appeared @pelly

😃 OK! I get that I may be the only one who’s excited by this photo. But I am. Very. #fritillaria-meleagris-alba 💚
No you're entirely justified there Jacqueline 😊
Thank you Sue! They are one of my all time favourite flowers and to have a white one coming up in this small wild flower patch is just 👌 @churchfarmgarden
You are very lucky
How lovely!
Love the white ones
I am Joan! 😊 @joannie.a
Thank you 😊 @joanboston
Me too! 😊 @hebelover
No you’re not the only one I put a white one on too…..🤍😆
What’s not to be excited about, Jacqueline? It’s a very special plant!!! 😍
😂 This is why I love GT. You all “get it”!! @churchfarmgarden @joannie.a @joanboston @hebelover @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @jacaranda

The first #fritillary to open 💚🤍💚
Love the white one, it's on my wish list for bulb buying time 👍🤍
I bought this one last year so was thrilled to see it return. I might be wrong but I think they are like snowdrops and do best when bought in the green, so now 🤔 @pelly
🤍🤍🤍
I’ll have to look into that, thanks Jacqueline 😍👍
I put mixed in a few years ago and I’ve never had a white one yet...it’s lovely
I bought this one in flower Elaine 👍 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Ignore that Jane. Titchmarsh says you can do either 🙃🙂 @pelly
Thanks Jacqueline, that’s saved me a job and what Alan says is good enough for me 👍😍
Ahhhh, it’ll be interesting to see if it comes back white...👍🏼
I bought it last year Elaine so...so far so good 😊 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Oh that’s even better then...😉

10 Apr 2019 • It’s really hard to get the markings to show up in a photo Joan, but it shows up a bit better at this stage @joanboston #fritillaria-meleagris
Just looking at this photo it looks like the back one has rain on it but it doesn’t, those are the markings @joanboston
Oh that’s so pretty. Thankyou Jacqueline
I see what you mean about seersucker
Reminds me of being a small child. I’m sure I had a seersucker swimsuit... @joanboston
Oh I had one of those too, several probably @awomanonabike 😄😄
Oh yes I definitely had some of those! Jacqueline and Jane, weird things that they were😂😂 @pelly
I think they were mandatory Joan and Jacqueline @awomanonabike 😂😂
We are definitely women of a certain era 😉😂🤣 @pelly @joanboston

9 Apr 2019 • I challenge anyone not to love these little beauties 💚
Morning Jacqueline they’re like little albinos....👍🏼
I suppose they are Elaine 😍 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Oh they are lovely. Mine are all dark ones this year. Do they have any chequer pattern at all on them?
I've put the alba on my wish list for when I order my spring bulbs, they're gorgeous 😍😍
Sort of, Joan. It’s almost like they are seersucker. I’ll try and get a photo and tag you... @joanboston
Good choice Jane. These are in a pot but I’m going to plant them out once they have stopped flowering. I can’t decide whether to put them with the purple ones or separately 🤔 Where will you be putting yours? @pelly
I'm going to try and remember 🙄 to mark the purple ones in the garden and put the white with them. That's the plan at the moment anyway Jacqueline 👍👍
Good luck!! 😉😂 @pelly
They’re sooo pretty. I spotted a lone one in the border today, last year’s display from a pot...was so thrilled! Xx
That is an added bonus Claudia. I love unexpected plants. One of my purple ones popped up in amongst some day lilies that I had transplanted in the autumn! I think it’s my favourite 😉 @clipperty

13 Oct 18 • 🤔 Would love these in the garden and snake’s head are very happy but should I start them off in a pot? Maybe half and half? 🤔
You are going to have so much fun identifying them as they appear 😂 @Jasonsparkes1
Pack the opening with sand. I would do pots. These are known to rot fast. I got one growing in rocks. Lol. Love the frits
We're did you get frits. Very hard to find on East coast
Thanks Annie. I got them online from a great specialist nursery in Lincolnshire, 🇬🇧 called #Pottertons @high
They like to be kept kept damp (but not wet or boggy) - usually naturalise well in damp meadowland, and if you plant them in a pot try to avoid them cooking in the pot over summer next year. I had some meleagris and on hot days kept the pot as best shaded as possible, then when they start to die back move the pot straight to a shady area. They don’t like to dry out too much.
Thanks for your advice. I think I’ll put a few in the ground in the bed where the snake’s head are already thriving and a few in a pot. @richard.spicer.7906
#awomanonabike thank you for name of place. Just ordered frits. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s fantastic! Glad to have helped 👍😊 @high
This has just appeared having been under a huge pile of wood all winter… #fritillaria-meleagris-alba @joanboston
That’s beautiful Jaqueline
Thanks, they are simple beauties aren’t they @joanboston
