19 Oct 2019 • This has made my day 😃 I was just about to put two pots of these in the greenhouse, wondering whether I should just compost them, though I like their strappy leaves, when I spotted buds. Lots of them! #betterlatethannever 🤷♀️
Fabulous. I had two pots as well, the smaller one only produced one flower and the bigger one none so like you I put them out of the way. Now the bigger pot has one flower and several buds. They're very late aren't they 🤔🤔
Extremely! Not sure why 🤔 I’m going to have to put them in there greenhouse anyway I think ❄️❄️❄️ @pelly
No frosts forecast here yet, we’re usually quite lucky and my garden is fairly well sheltered 👍👍
We have already had our first - on the 2nd October! I had to scrape the ice off the car. It must have only just gone below zero but even so, that’s incredibly early 😱 @pelly
Oh that is isn't it 😱😱
I've just had this exact discovery 5 minutes ago
Were you a excited as me?! They are so late though 🤔🤷♀️ @DeborahBanks
@awomanonabike yes, I nearly evicted them last week to replace them with tulips.

10 Oct 18 • They may have taken a long time to get going and I may have missed out on 3 weeks of them flowering, but they are still going strong 💜 Just hope I can get them through the winter 🤔❄️🌧💨
They’re beautiful 💟
No sign of mine. 😕 Will try again next year 😆
Very lovely!!
Ahh, they flowered, how lovely. My second lot didn’t, I’ve taken them out of the planter and am storing the bulbs over winter. They’ve produced lots of little bulbils too 😍😍
Oh how lovely Jacqui lost mine over winter as left them out Doh
Wow! Can’t believe they’re still going! Beautiful 💜
They really are Kerry @kez001uk
Oh dear Urszula. Mine are all in pots and not in the ground if that’s any help 🤔 @ublaszko
They did Jane. Both pots 😊 Apparently if you want the bulblets to survive they are best potted up on a layer of sand and covered with sand. I might try this 🤔🤔 @pelly
😱😢 What a shame. Mine are all in pots and I was just going to put the pots in the greenhouse but I might take them out and store them as Jane has done 🤔 @Keely @pelly
Me neither Rachel. They were just starting to flower in the week or so before we left and I assumed they would be over by the time we got back so I’m even happier with them 😍😍 @rachelbrooks

16 Sep 18 • What a wonderful weekend I’ve had. If you live near people on GardenTags and there is the possibility to have a #gtmeetup then I’d say don’t hesitate! Thank you so much for coming Rachel & Katie and for being so lovely about my garden 😘😘 @rachelbrooks @brightcolours
Ummm...sorry how near is Australia exactly..? 🤔🙊🙈😜 aww thank YOU lovely lady. We had a fantastic time, you (and Paul and Tom!) were an amazing host and how can we not love you and your beautiful garden?! Enjoy a peaceful evening! 😉😘
Yes well...I don’t think there are many other Ozzies who would travel across the world for a #gtmeet And Essex isn’t exactly near either but I was just trying to be encouraging 🤷♀️😉😂 @rachelbrooks @brightcolours
You are always most encouraging Jacq! 😉
Yes, I absolutely endorse the sentiments!! I’ve made such wonderful friends through GT and to actually meet them is just icing on the cake. 🎂 Thanks Jacqueline and Rachel for just the best weekend!! Xxx @rachelbrooks @awomanonabike 😘😘😘
Looking forward to next year already Katie. How far are you from Great Dixter Rachel? 😉 @brightcolours @rachelbrooks
Lovely 😍🌿👍
Thanks Judy @plants
Hey if there’s a Great Dixter meet - tag me!!! Wanna come!! X x x @awomanonabike @rachelbrooks
I’d love to go again - it’s been years since I was there but I loved it @clipperty
These are great. Its like they were designed to be dead headed. No cuts no bruises just a simply lift and slight pull and bam there goes your dead flower head.
I’ll have to look forward to that as I don’t have any dead ones yet 😉😂 @jamescalli

11 Sep 18 • Fingers crossed these will open just in time for your arrival... 😊 @brightcolours @rachelbrooks
Ooh come on little pretties and then I can have a sniff too. Mine were too far back in the border last year so I couldn’t smell them! 🙄 how’s that sunshine coming along? 🤔😉
Wall to wall sunshine forecast for tomorrow...but might need to send some more for the weekend 😎 @rachelbrooks
Shame I’m working tomorrow then otherwise I’d have popped round! 😂
Just pop round in your lunch break 😎😂 @rachelbrooks
Oh alright then 🙄🤣
Let me know when and I’ll put the kettle on ☕️😉🤣 @rachelbrooks
Fingers crossed!! I sure enjoyed the sunshine today. Looking forward to even more tomorrow. ☀️ See you both Friday. @rachelbrooks @awomanonabike
Thanks Laura, hopefully it will be even more so when it opens 😁@columbiariver
Really looking forward to it 😍@brightcolours @rachelbrooks
Woohoo! Can’t wait only two more sleeps girls! 😬🙌🏼😘😘 @brightcolours
Yay!!! @awomanonabike @rachelbrooks Safe travels Rachel.

7 Sep 18 • While some of the garden has seen autumn coming these are only just deciding they might flower 🙄
Ohh lovely, my early planted ones are long gone and the ones I planted later don’t look like they’ll flower, so well done 😍😍
As long as they open before the first frosts... I think I might keep them in the greenhouse for longer next year @pelly
I can’t remember when I planted my first pot and they all flowered, the second lot were planted much later but both of them were kept outside 👍👍
What are you going to do with them over winter Jane? Will you keep them outside? @pelly
I’d be interested too. Mine flowered after I’d left home on my travels so didn’t even get to see them! I’ll look forward to some pics of yours Jaqueline!
Oh no! What a shame Val 😱 @valjones-hughes
I'm still waiting for mine to flower. I really hope I don't end up just getting leaves 😅
I haven’t got many but also didn’t think I would get any. Check them Urszula as they are hard to spot at first @ublaszko
I'm going to lift the corms, dry them out and keep my fingers crossed Jacqueline @awomanonabike Sorry you missed yours Val @valjones-hughes and Jacqueline is right Urszula, they seem to flower out of nowhere @ublaszko . Good luck 😍😍

Sounds like a plan @pally don’t want to lose them over the winter
3 Nov 2019 • #betterlatethannever Shame though, as they’re now hidden away in the greenhouse. Still beautiful 💚
Gorgeous. Mine have only leaves this year!
That’s a shame Val 🤔 I’m not sure what I did right to get them to flower nor what I did wrong that they are sooooo late doing it 🤔🤷♀️ @valjones-hughes
I’m glad 🙄 they flowered for you eventually. I’ve got another spike developing, they seem to be behaving very oddly this year. At least your greenhouse will smell nice 😍😍
And I’m glad it’s not just me 😊 Weird isn’t it @pelly
🙁 Oh dear 🙁 I wonder what makes the difference 🤔 I did nothing to mine other than put them in the greenhouse last year. I didn’t repot them or anything. They may have got an occasional bit of tomato food, but I’m not sure 🤷♀️ @Jasonsparkes1
Mine have appeared after I thought I’d lost them 🤨
Any flower spikes Julie? 🧐@juliesgarden
...and I thought they liked full sun ☀️ 🤷♀️ @Jasonsparkes1
Can’t see any 🤨
🤨 They are very fickle it would seem 🙃 @juliesgarden
I had them in the ground and they didn’t flower. Put them in a pot and they did beautifully for 2 years. One pot flowered around now Jacqui I remember because ofcoming back from Spain and being surprised to see them. Thinking about it I had left them in the shade and this year they were in the sun! @Jasonsparkes1 @juliesgarden @pelly Temperamental I think!
