Just when you think nothing much is happening in the garden... #hellebore #helleborus-niger

Yes I have one of these they are lovely have put it outside my patio window so I can get the pleasure of it over the winter ☺️👍🏻

Sneaky aren’t they.....🤍👌🏼😀

They are lovely aren’t they. That is a good idea. I have another in a pot by the front door for the same reason.I had forgotten how early they start flowering @prunella

Sneaky in a beautiful way! 😂@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

This white #hellebore isn’t any more 😉

Awe, it's just blushing

😂 @jpea

I love all the colour changes they go through 💞💞💞

I’ve never noticed this one change quite so dramatically. And it looks great against the pale green of the summerhouse now! @pelly

Oh yes, I hadn't noticed that 💚

The fact it is pale green doesn’t actually show up so well in the photo but it looks good from here 🙄 @pelly

My imagination is good Jacqueline 😂

It must be almost Christmas #christmas-rose #helleborus-niger 💚

Must be time to get the tree up 👍🏼👍🏼🎄

Love it when they start to flower 😍😍

It’s up! Honest. Just haven’t decorated it yet... @sieveheadsarah

Me too Jane. I can’t wait until the Lenten ones join in 😊😊😊 @pelly

It’s not far away Jacqueline, next week I think 🤔 beautiful Christmas roses..😗

Ooh really Elaine! Is it that soon? Whoopee!! 🙌✨🌟💫 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

1 Dec 19 • As some things in the garden are going to sleep for the winter, others are waking up 😍 #hellebore #christmasrose

12 Dec 18 • Just had my first mince pie and rum butter and my white hellebore is in flower so it must be nearly Christmas 🎄

I have to hold off as long as possible on the mince pies, as once I start there’s no stopping me 🥧🥧🥧 @columbiariver

And only nine days to the winter solstice, yay 💃💃

I was just reminding my neighbour of that earlier! It’s like turning a corner in the year @pelly

Oh isn't it just 😍👍

Thanks John! It’s my winter pot that sits outside the living room window @ukjohnny

Yummm. I just looked up rum butter, as I had not heard of it. It sounds great. 💞

Beautiful picture 👌pie n rum butter 😋

Hope you had it on a cream cracker 😁😋

Oh Janice! You have such a joy to discover! It is a local thing and the best companion to a mince pie ever @lovestogarden

Thanks Pauline. I didn’t think a picture of the mince pie and rum butter would really pass as garden themed 😉😉 @pauline33

Now you’re talking Elaine 😋 😂 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

7 February 2018 • You can tell it’s cold when your hellebores wilt ❄️❄️❄️

Brrr ❄❄❄

It’s that time of year when I have to control my envy for people who live down south 😉 @suzyw

We need to be careful Suzanne. It will take more than a few flowers to get me to move back darn sarf 😉 😂 Have you got room for a witch hazel? Or some winter jasmine (takes up virtually no space if you keep it pruned against a wall)? Both have been adding some colour to my garden. @suzyw

Since winter jasmine needs pruning in the spring you could plant them together... Just a thought. 😉😊

As much as my fondest memories are of living in England, take more than "a few flowers" to get me to move back 😎🙃

😂😂 Don’t you miss the cold and wet Annette? Surely 🤔😂😂 @Annettenoosa

@awomanonabike Grey skies and seemingly never ending rain supply were always a facinating phenomena. 😁

I can see that you miss it 🤣😂🤣 @Annettenoosa

5 February 2018 • Is 6 weeks fashionably late? My first hellebore to flower, if shyly...

Lovely Jacqueline ☺️👍

Thank you Sue @susanhumphrey333

They really are aren’t they Laura @columbiariver

Ooh!!

Ooh indeed Katie! Though this morning it’s covered in snow so was probably right to be shy @brightcolours
This #helleborus-niger has been flowering since long before Christmas and it’s the first thing I see on opening the curtains in the morning 💚 The flowers are now just beginning to fade and turn pink 💕
Beautiful
Gorgeous 🌸
Thanks Joan. They are such wonderful plants aren’t they @joanboston
Thank you Julie 😊 @juliesgarden
It’s absolutely beautiful 🤩
Yes Jacqueline, I bought a yellow one last year and it has a bud coming up, can’t wait to see it flower 🤞🌼
Thanks Elaine. It was a #mozzersclub bargain a few years ago. It has taken a while to bulk up but is looking so good now 😍 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
I shall look out for a photo! I bought a yellow one last year too but the bank voles ate the flower buds 😢 I must go and see what it is up to 🚶♀️…@joanboston
Good old Mozzers..😆👍🏼
That’s very pretty! 🥰
Gorgeous! Love it!
