When I'm not on my bike, you'll find me in my organic-ish garden in #Cumbria. Favourite plants? Wisteria, hellebores, peonies, philadelphus...

😂😂😂 GT suggests I should fertilise this. Don’t give it any ideas, it’s powerful enough already 🤣 @ukgardentags

Haha. Yes I have some of this and it doesn’t need much help. Flowers are fab though 😀

So pretty in flower but we took the plunge and dug it up last year. Still managed to sprout all over the garden though 😤

I love the flowers too and I sensibly took advice from a friend and didn’t put it in a flower bed. Instead it’s at the bottom of the garden among the apple & plum trees, so I can just about keep it under control! @cotehow

I can completely understand that Helen. It really should come with a label saying “Warning this plant is a thug” 🙄😂 @itstillhelen

😮 I’ve heard bamboo can come up through tarmac 😱 I’ve never had to fight that thank goodness @itstillhelen

Evening Jacqueline @awomanonabike I had well still do have this in my garden I chopped it right down to ground level & still it doesn’t give up the problem with it is the birds drop the berries in other parts of the garden & of course they grow I’m forever pulling it out you could say it’s a very easy plant to grow & one that you couldn’t kill if you tried 👍😘

We had a 60ft wall of bamboo about 3ft deep when we moved here that we’ve dug up and battled for 4yrs. We’ve almost got it under control now but it will never ever go altogether 😤

As long as it’s somewhere where it won’t crowd out other plants, enjoy it. It’s still a lovely plant @columbiariver
