24 Mar 2019 β’ This may not look like much but it makes me very happy. I thought I had lost it in last summerβs drought but seems it was just resting πππ #osmunda #osmunda-regalis

Woohoo!! ππ»ππ»ππ» thatβs brill!

Iβve just looked back through my photos and have never posted a picture of it in full flow but it is wonderful. I think it is my favourite fern. I am so glad it is still alive. I almost dug it up in the autumn but a) Iβm too idle and b) I read that they can become dormant when stressed @rachelbrooks

Well thank goodness for that then lazy bones! ππ€£π but Iβm really pleased for you because I know how disappointed you were that it didnβt look well! ππΌπ

Great news ππ

Thanks Rachel. I will try and get a decent photograph of it once it is fully out π @rachelbrooks

Thanks Jane. Itβs really big too so would have left a big hole, literally π@pelly

Great photo Jacqueline, love ferns ππ

Love them

Literally ππ @jadojado29

Thanks Julie, me too. And I have lots of shade and lots of rain, so they like my garden too π¨ππ¨ @juliesgarden

They are wonderful plants Val. I think we take them for granted as they are everywhere π @valjones-hughes

In the middle of making a little fern border in a shady corner so Iβm on the look out for varieties.

Wakey wakey...

The aliens have landed πππ

I think I know where Steven Moffat gets his ideas from for Dr Who! @pelly

They're fascinating...but slightly freaky! π¬

I promise they are lovely once they unfurl πΏπΏπΏ @rachelbrooks

What a great photo Jacqie π

Thanks Julie πππ @juliesgarden

Oh they are Jacqueline - can see they're prehistoric though can't you?! ππΌ

Know what you mean Rachel. Love the simplicity ππ€π @rachelbrooks
11 Apr 2019 β’ Hard to see but in the foreground is my favourite #fern that I thought I had lost after the drought last summer but it was just resting ππΏππΏπ #osmunda-regalis
Lots of healthy looking fronds appearing! ππΌππΌ
I canβt tell you how happy this makes me Rachel ππΌππΌππΌ @rachelbrooks
Immensely satisfying I imagine. I love it when that happens π
I was so angry with myself. I was doing that βwell if they canβt survive in a bed without being watered they can just dieβ bit, but then I thought it had π± Gunnera has just about survived though think it might be a bit smaller this year ππ @rachelbrooks
Thank you Cyndi, me too π @cyndi
Great news Jacqueline πππ
Thank you Laura π @columbiariver
Iβm so relieved Jane @pelly
I bet ππ
Itβs bad enough when something dies of itβs own accord. You could kick yourself if itβs because youβve done something to it. I remember pulling out a Clematis trying to unravel it from the climbing rose. Started off untwining it all patiently and then lost my temper and then nearly cried because I thought Iβd lost it. I was over the moon when it started shooting up again the following year! Phew! π
π±π±π± Unravelling clematis is the riskiest activity in the garden... Thank goodness you got away with it @rachelbrooks
