I don’t think these have ever looked so good ❤️🖤❤️ #papaver-orientale
Look at that vivid colour ❤️
They are just amazing at the moment. Though I’m now wondering if they are Allegro... Oh well! 🤷♀️ @dan5584
Ah well, they are fabulous either way! ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous 😍Jacqueline @awomanonabike ❤️
Thank you, they are! @dan5584
Thanks Shona 😊 @sho47
They’re super duper Jacqueline 😍
My eyes got so big when I saw these! 😂❤️
They are Sarah! Very super and pretty duper too 😉 @sieveheadsarah
😂🤣 @CheerfulandLiterate

Here is the dragonfly Sarah 😉😂 @sieveheadsarah
Oh yes, he looks just like a scrap of fabric tied around a poppy 🤨😂 he’s great, thanks for sharing Jacqueline 😍
To be fair it was a completely different angle! 😂 @sieveheadsarah

While much of the garden has been in suspended animation waiting for some rain, these poppies have never been so tall, so straight, nor had so many flowers 🌺🌺🌺 #papaver-orientale
That's going to be stunning when they all open ❤❤❤
As long as they stay upright 🙄🤞 @pelly
They look like a little forest now 🌱 they’ll be brilliant when open 😍
I can’t wait 😍 @sabbanrula
Do you stake these as my flowers heads all seem to fall over before they bloom?
Hi Sean, yes I do. These are staked. You can just see the top of the metal stake (with a metal insect on the top 🙄) at the back and then if you look closely near the bottom of the photo there is twine wound round them in small groups. @SeanOC
Thanks Jacqueline @awomanonabike

28 May 2019 • First of the oriental poppies to open 😎 #papaver-orientale
Beautiful 😍
Wow! That’s the reddest thing ever! ❤️🖤❤️
Thanks Venkat 😊 @Venkat
And it really is that red Rachel. Love ‘em ❤️ @rachelbrooks
Yup, that's definitely red ❤❤
I think they call it Poppy Red.....😘❤️

7 Jun 18 • 😍 You’ve just got to love a #poppy and they are so easy to grow. These are on the edge of the bog garden next to the pond. They aren’t in full sun either, yet they have been thriving here for years 😍
Gorgeous ❤️
Beautiful ❤❤
Gorgeous pic Jacqueline @awomanonabike 😍😘
Thank you 😘😘😘 @juliesgarden @katgreen @jadojado29
❤😍
Thanks Laura 😘 @columbiariver
I’m not sure what I’m more impressed by, the poppies or the greenhouse,...it looks so good aI think it’s better described as a glasshouse #glasshouseenvy 💚 xx
I’m very lucky Claudia. I bought it with some money my Mum left me when she died. She was a keen gardener so it seemed fitting and better than just adding it to the pot 🤔😊😊@clipperty
What a wonderful thing to do J. Sounds like she’d be thrilled and a tiny bit jealous 😂😊 xx
I think she would be - both! 😂 Her father had a greenhouse with a vine in it and now I have too 😁 @clipperty

1 Jun 2018 • I’ve only been away for a week but everything has changed. My first poppy has opened ❤️
It doesn’t take long for things to change in a garden. Lovely 😊 poppy 🙏🏼👍🏼
It really doesn’t at this time of year Christine does it. Thanks 😊 @pixierose
Wow! Stunning! ❤️🖤❤️
It’s a goodie isn’t it Rachel? @rachelbrooks
Ohhhh yes! 👌🏼

I thought poppies were sun lovers. This one planted itself behind a tree & has even managed to flower #poppy
Rules are made to be broken 👍🏼😉 and very lovely it is too 👌🏼❤️
I can only think it must get a teeny but of sun first thing in the morning & that it likes the dry 😊 @rachelbrooks
Well it clearly doesn't mind it 👍🏼
No, amazingly @rachelbrooks
Normal the #oriental-poppies provide an amazing #colour-pop but today they are having to contend with 35mph gusts and aren’t faring well… #theresalwaysnextyear
Still look lovely against what I think is a cornus
😊 Thank you, yes, two: #cornus-normanhadden in the middle and #cornus-controversa-variegata on the right @joannie.a
