[ August 12 2019 ] Giving String of pearls a try again. This time hoping not to overwater it . I already messed up the first day and accidentally left it in direct sunlight causing the new growth to die😯 seems to be doing okay now though. Probably need to repot it soon.

This kind of plant actually needs some direct sun or the newer growth will be stretched. It easiest way to to kill these is definitely overwatering so thats probably what had happened😉

Oh, shoot okay thanks @littlemorningglory its possible as well, I did give it a misting when i put it on the shelf I should have took a pic before trimming off the withered ends instead of right after . But yeah i am scared to water it hahah or repot it I don't have it in direct sunlight right now I will put it on the shelf for tomorrow's sunshine. Last year's didn't last long at all it died like instantly cause yeah i watered it bad:( i've had this one about a week so far 😊

I did the same thing, overwatered when I first got it. It’s not as lush. I do have it in direct sunlight, I’m hoping it will come back to life. I’m going to let the soil dry out then water it just a bit.

@furplesnort Yeah last summer I overwatered the now dead one thinking the soil would dry some but it didn't my plant just became mush. For other plants in the past with soggy soil I've taken the plant out of the pot and took as much off the root and wrapped the root in a few pieces of newspaper to absorb most of the water for a bit then replanted it in different soil. I'm not very experienced with plants though I'd assume it would work too but would just have to be super really gentle
