My lil' hydrangea still producing tiny blooms

My baby hydrangea is struggling to survive in the hot location where I planted her 😕 but she continues to produce new blooms for me! I put a beach umbrella over her to protect her from the hot Chicago sun... My neighbors must think I am cuckoo. 😁

@ofthought , i get stares from my neighbors due to the large yellow umbrella but I don't care... LOL! I despised yard work/gardening all my life... And after 1 season of giving it a try... I'm obsessed! ❤🌺🌻

@Bebigirl your hydrangea will continue to struggle in the sun and maybe sucome to it eventually, it may get so stressed it willsay tata!! On the other hand it may adapt and spit in everyones eye!! I would watch it closely and if it seems like its not going to adapt I would move it to more shade💘😍

Thanks @ShelleySnyder . I don't have anyplace to move them :( I wish I would have done research on hydrangeas first... And bought a variety that likes sun.

@Bebigirl I have had part shade plants in full sun make it and are now actually thriving, (didn't read tag😣) but I did not do a thing to them ,it was live or die😂😂 I have a friend that has a hydr. It is not only in full sun it is in a pot!! It has been in it for 3 years , this year it looks fab!! So theres hope!!💘😍

I have this #hydrangea and we changed the color by placing lime in the dirt. Also,u can do it by putting Penny's in the dirt around the plant😊 #colorchaneadvice #endlesssummer #blueflowers

I have 2 of these. They grew in Lg blk tubs. I hoping they bloom this summer. One did and it was pink. But, still hoping so I can see the colors that we changed are there or the soil here has change them😍

Hi!😊 it looks like it might b the variety, "Endless Summer. " Its Beautiful! Look in #hydrangea if u already havent, 😯 or on my profile and see if it looks like it. Mine were in tubs at first and we different colors,then the next yr changed,with the lime we added,to pink. #changecolor #limegreen

Maria,they shouldn't hurt them. But,if they r both close to the ground I'd leave space for air flow😊

Ok thanks, @Acetaker. I am finding mint is hard to contain. The previous owner had it growing everywhere. I pulled a ton out but the mint is a tenacious plant!! 😕
