Blinking cats!! 😏 Although it was very sad when my neighbours car died, I’m hoping she doesn’t replace her as it’s quite nice not having my lawn 💩 on and my beds/pots not being dug up!! @ublaszko

😏 It is infuriating when your efforts go to 💩 but cats are easily trained given a chance so I'm always more annoyed with the owners than with the cats. I can't blame my neighbour's cat for using my flowerbeds in winter because his paws are soft and my flowerbeds don't freeze solid because of the layer of mulch. My neighbours are very laid back (read:lazy) about their cats and they kind of have that annoying attitude as in 'What do you want me to do about it?' 😩

My parents have just started growing them in memory of my mums mums (she died of cancer in the 60's or early 70's I think)

I don't know what fritillaria is supposed to look like in bud because my neighbour's cat again decided to use my fritillaria patch for litter box 😬 I think I might have one left out of 15 I planted.

Having clicked on the tags, I'm convinced it is. And I only planted them and tulips in this trough. I was expecting them to be bigger, even at this early stage!! @ublaszko

These fritillarias start off quite small and continue to grow as they flower but they're still quite dainty. They're about the size of large flowering crocuses.

They’re going to be dwarfed by my tulips!! 🙈 @ublaszko

They'll come before tulips anyway ☺ But they're definitely smaller than tulips 😜
