Ooh the #pink #hyacinth are on their way. Don’t know how they’ll do this year! Surrounded by #moss in this pot!

I took nearly the same photo today - had to have a double take !

#pink #hyacinth now lying sideways because of the wind! 💕 10/03/19

😬

Still pretty @bluefox23

Oh oh.

Wondered about cutting it off and bringing it inside. Might do that tomorrow. @anges @maureen137 @novicegardenlover

Yes it will be fine in water ☺ 💖

Ok so it is turning ‘pinker’ but so very few petals/flowers on it! 😢 #hyacinth #pink 07/03/19

Some of mine are looking like this, but I didn't feed them after flowering, so it's my own fault!! It's still a lovely colour though 🌼🌼

@pelly What are you meant to feed them? ☺

When the leaves start yellowing give them a good feed of Tomato food, the same goes for all the late winter/spring flowering bulbs Ange 👍👍

Great, thanks Jane @pelly

It's a really lovely colour Alison 🌸🌸🌸😍

You’re welcome @anges 😊😊

@pelly @anges Thanks. I’ve not fed mine so maybe that’s why! I will try and remember to feed them this year!

I haven't grown Hyacinths until this year so I will follow all advice given! 😁

Hmm! Not sure what’s going on here! If you scroll pictures to see last year, this was bright pink!!! Think they’re a bit cramped now as one of the bulbs has sent up two blind sets of leaves so another set of bulbs I need to move for next year. When is the best time to move bulbs? #hyacinth #bulbs #springbulbs 02/03/19

Did you buy them as prepared or bedding hyacinths? Best time to move them in autumn. You can move them after flowering but there's a risk they will not build up enough energy to flower next year.

@ublaszko Yes they were prepared bulbs bought in flower about 3 years ago. Change in colour is weird!

Yep, just as I thought. 😁 Prepared bulbs use up a lot of energy when they're forced to flower, and they often grow weak afterwards. You could feed them with low nitrogen feed after they're done flowering and that should bulk them up for next year. I'd imagine they have divided as well in the last 3 years so dig them up in autumn and space them out. 😊

This happened to some of mine, I'll separate and feed them this time🤞

#hyacinth still slowly making progress! 07/02/19

Mine are very slow. Only just peeking through the soil.

Looks like their getting close👍🏻👍🏻🤗😊💕

The snow has made them pause, still a while to go I think! @ublaszko @terrimclaughlin

Same with all of my spring bulbs. They've had flowerbuds for about 2 weeks but none are ready to flower. They're just waiting for a milder spell.

Not a great shot but my #hyacinths are coming through. Need to look back but pretty sure this is much earlier than last year! 29/12/18

I love them 😍

Mine are not far off flowering !! 👍🏻

#newgrowth

Mine are showing now too, about the same size as yours and I’m sure mine weren’t this early either 👍👍

Thanks @jyotu 😊

I’m glad I’m not the only one then but mine flowered in March last year!!! Think they’ll definitely be flowering earlier than that this time! 🤷🏼♀️ @juliesgarden @pelly

Nice photo 📸

Thanks @plants

Happy new year Alison
