I'm a college student in Florida majoring in biochemistry. I don't have a lot of space or sunlight but I'm a beginner who is doing my best!

I went away for a week and asked my roommates to water my plants, but they clearly don't have a green thumb 😣 this was my #salvia but I seem to have rescued it just in time! #shoots @brightcolours I believe you asked about this little guy ages ago and gave me some advice to replant! I might wait until it recovers a bit first, poor thing!

Cut most of the top growth off. Your Salvia will thank you for it. It can then put energy into growing from the base and not sending energy out to the very end of that lanky growth. Give it a liquid feed too.

A better photo of my #salvia with #flowers 🥀 red is my favorite color!

My salvia is losing its flowers 😮 I don't know much about this little guy but it needs a ton of water!

Most salvias are drought tolerant. Maybe you're giving it too much water.

It seems to droop and the leaves curl when I don't water it for 2 days. I thought I wasn't giving it enough lol. Should I not water it for longer? 🤔 @suekat

Is it in sun? Shade? How deep is the pot it's in?

It's in the sun for most of the day, but the pot is small. Tips for repotting and feeding? @brightcolours @suekat

Sounds like it might need a bigger pot if it's drying out too quickly? When you stick a finger in the potting mix is it dry, moist or wet? Post a pic of the entire plant and the pot perhaps?
