Most shrubs prefer the ground, rosemary likes sunny site not water logged ground, you can keep it in a pot for a couple of years if you like @camilio81
@cyndi @carolgs I live in middle Tennessee. It gets very hot in the summer. This summer we've had a lot of rain, but it's not always that way. Winters are usually mild, but we can see temps near 0. Should I plant near the house to keep it warm in the winter or will it be okay?
It'll be ok with frost we had -5 and it survived it should love your climate
